If you want to use your skills and experience to make a real difference to the lives of farming people, consider becoming a RABI Trustee.
The vision of RABI is that no member of the farming community should ever have to face adversity alone. We provide financial, emotional and practical support and guidance to farming people across England and Wales.
Our farming communities are facing increasingly complex challenges and pressures and RABI has a crucial role to play, both now and in the future, to support the wellbeing of farming people.
We are seeing an ever-greater need from working farming people and their families and have committed to supporting four times as many farming people by 2024 as we did in 2019.
Already having expanded our services and support to including mental health support and an enhanced 24/7 freephone helpline, we need to continue to work hard to provide progressive pre-emptive support wherever possible.
Three years into our ambitious strategy we are looking to appoint two new Trustees to join the Council of Trustees.
The Communications and Marketing Trustee will use their experience of operating in the areas of marketing, communications or public relations to assist the Council of Trustees to understand and implement effective strategies to reach new beneficiaries, supporters and donors and nurture and grow the relationships we have with existing supporters.
Credibility and authenticity are important and both of the new Trustees will need to understand the issues facing people in the agricultural sector. A clear connection to and motivation to make a difference to farming people is essential. An excellent understanding of effective charity governance, gained from working at a senior or trustee level in the charitable sector, is also beneficial.
We would particularly welcome applications from those with lived experience of support from RABI or similar organisations, farm workers, and those currently or recently working in agriculture aged 45 or under.
