Organization Overview:

Morocco Animal Aid is a dedicated animal health and welfare charity that strives to alleviate the suffering of animals in Morocco while addressing the critical issue of rabies. Our mission centers on providing comprehensive veterinary care, raising awareness about animal welfare, and implementing sustainable solutions to improve the lives of animals and the communities they inhabit; such as vaccinating and controlling street dog populations.

Position Summary:
The General Trustee is an essential member of the board responsible for contributing diverse perspectives, expertise, and insights to guide the strategic direction of Morocco Animal Aid. As a General Trustee, you will collaborate with fellow trustees, provide input on various aspects of the organization’s work, and support the implementation of its mission-driven initiatives. This is a flexible and part-time voluntary position.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Collaboration:

  • ?  Participate actively in trustee meetings, sharing your expertise and insights to collectively shape the charity’s strategic priorities and goals.
  • ?  Contribute to discussions on programmatic, financial, and operational matters, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

    Governance and Oversight:

  • ?  Engage in governance discussions, decision-making processes, and policy development to uphold the highest standards of accountability and transparency.
  • ?  Review and provide input on key organizational documents, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

    Advocacy and Outreach:

  • ?  Serve as an ambassador for Morocco Animal Aid by promoting its mission and advocating for animal welfare and rabies prevention efforts.
  • ?  Leverage your networks and influence to connect the charity with potential partners, supporters, and collaborators.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

  • ?  Engage with various stakeholders, including local communities, donors, partners, and governmental bodies, to enhance the charity’s impact and reach.
  • ?  Provide valuable input on community needs, cultural considerations, and effective engagement strategies.

    Project Support:

  • ?  Contribute your expertise and insights to specific projects and initiatives, offering guidance on areas such as program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • ?  Collaborate with staff and fellow trustees to ensure successful project outcomes.

    Fundraising and Resource Development:

? Support the charity’s fundraising efforts by participating in donor engagement activities, events, and outreach initiatives.

? Contribute ideas and strategies for sustainable resource mobilization to support the organization’s mission.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ?  Dedication to animal welfare and a strong alignment with Morocco Animal Aid’s mission and values.
  • ?  Expertise in a relevant field, such as animal health, veterinary medicine, public health, community development, advocacy, or non-profit management.
  • ?  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • ?  Ability to think strategically and contribute insights to shape the charity’s direction.
  • ?  Passion for promoting positive change and making a meaningful impact within the realm

    of animal welfare and rabies reduction.

    Time Commitment: This is a voluntary position with a flexible time commitment. General Trustees are expected to participate in regular trustee meetings, engage in discussions and decision-making processes, and allocate additional time for project support and engagement with stakeholders.
