Thanks for your interest in becoming a Trustee with Family Holiday Charity.
We are looking for people who share our vision of a future where every family will feel able to
have time away together. You’ll have the energy, integrity, passion and skills to work with the
Board of Trustees, our CEO, senior team and our community, to drive forward a successful and
dynamic future for our charity.
In this role we’re specifically looking for someone who has direct experience of working
to support families.
You might have a role working in local government in social services or community support, or in
a registered charity providing direct services to children and families on an ongoing basis.
Perhaps you work in the NHS or an OFSTED registered nursery or school, or a refuge or
domestic abuse support service. Whatever the setting, if you have regular first hand contact with
families living on a low income and facing tough times, we’d love to hear from you.
Our Board of Trustees needs to better understand the on the ground experience of the families
we support and the professionals who refer them to us. Your perspective and contribution will
ensure our strategy and decision-making properly considers our most important stakeholders
and best enables us to deliver our mission.
For families facing tough times, a holiday is a much-needed break from the day to day, as well as
giving space and time to breathe, think differently. Families tell us that after their holiday their
mental health and wellbeing improves, they feel more able to deal with the challenges they face
and more connected to their communities.
We hope that after reading the pack you will feel inspired to submit your application.
