Build Up empowers young people to shape their local area. On our construction projects, young people learn practical skills as they design and build permanent, accessible spaces for local communities.
We are excited to be recruiting new trustees to join our existing board and support our organisation’s growth.
What we’re looking for
We’re expanding our small committed board (currently 3 Trustees) to support Build Up’s next stage of development. We’re looking for people with a range of skills and work/lived experience to support us on this journey over the next 3 years. We are committed to representation and highly value experience relevant to our young people.
The role
Build Up is governed by a volunteer board of Trustees – a committee made up of individuals with relevant personal and professional experience to our work. Trustees hold overall responsibility for our activities, act as the final decision makers to whom our management team reports and ensure we deliver on our mission.
Who we are
Build Up’s purpose is to empower young people to shape where they live, and make decisions about London’s built environment representative of its communities. We do this by running projects that put young people in control of the design and construction of permanent public and community spaces.
