Treasurer on the Board of Trustees Wildlife and Countryside Link

Can you help Wildlife and Countryside Link be a more effective champion for wildlife, animal welfare and wellbeing?

As the biggest environment and wildlife coalition in England, we are looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

The responsibilities of the Treasurer will be to:

  • Contribute to shaping the strategic aims and pursuing the charitable objects of Wildlife & Countryside Link.
  • Ensure that Link complies with charity law, company law, Link’s Articles of Association and other relevant legislation or regulations.
  • Safeguard the organisation’s reputation and values.
  • Oversee the financial affairs of Link and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
  • Help ensure that proper records are kept, and sound financial procedures are in place.
  • Monitor and report on the financial health of the organisation.
  • Regularly review the financial position at trustee meetings (Balance Sheet, Income & Expenditure and cash flow).
  • Chair the Finance & Resources Sub-Committee (FRSC).

Good knowledge and experience of bookkeeping and financial management (as necessary), of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations as well as good financial analysis skills are needed for this role.

This is a voluntary position, the Link Board meets at least four times a year, either online or at the Office in Vaxuhall, London.
