Opportunity to join the Board of an educational foundation creating life-enhancing opportunities for children.
What will you be doing?
As Treasurer you will work closely with the school Bursar and will assume non-executive responsibility for the finance function of the Foundation. You will take the lead on finance matters at meetings of the Board and will sit on the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
There is some flexibility to the role and the Board will welcome suggestions as to how best balance the various tasks in conjunction with the Bursar and finance staff.

What are we looking for?
Skills and attributes required:
- A qualified accountant. A knowledge of charity finance is an advantage or otherwise an enthusiasm to learn.
- Clear communicator with the ability to bring the financial information alive to non-finance specialists.
- Willingness and ability to understand and accept their responsibilities and liabilities as a trustee and to act in the best interests of the foundation.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good, independent judgement and work effectively as a Board member.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to participate actively in discussion.
- Commitment to Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
