The Felix Project – Trustees

Right now, millions of people in the UK regularly experience hunger. Yet tonnes of surplus fresh food is thrown away every day. At The Felix Project, we set out to change this. No one should have to miss a meal. The Felix Project collects fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold and is at risk of being wasted. We deliver this food to organisations across London that are helping the most vulnerable in our society. We work with a range of organisations that cook meals and prepare food parcels for vulnerable people, as well as primary schools, holiday clubs and play schemes for children and their families.

The Felix Project is now looking to appoint engaged and passionate individuals to join our board as Trustees. At this point in our development, we would particularly welcome candidates with experience in the following sectors: the food industry, relevant areas of government relations; and finally, candidates who would be willing to help develop our fundraising strategy.  You will have a passion to play an influential role in a charity that is expanding rapidly and be someone who thrives in a busy environment. Most importantly, you will be deeply committed to our cause, and have a desire to help reduce food waste and fight food poverty.

The time commitment is anticipated to be around two days per month and these roles are unremunerated. The Felix Project believes in a vision of London where no-one goes hungry and good food is never wasted. This is an opportunity to be a part of a growing charity which can win the fight against food waste and hunger in London.
