Secretary-The Association of Dress Historians

Job description

The Association of Dress Historians are seeking a volunteer Secretary. If you enjoy organising, being part of an international community and are intrigued by the world of dress and textile history, this role could be for you.

The Secretary provides administrative support to the Trustees, Executive Committee and their Sub-Committee by maintaining records, organising and minuting meetings and ensuring policies are kept up to date. As a member of the Executive Committee the Secretary is entitled to some financial support to assist at and attend ADH conferences in the UK and internationally.

The Secretary works closely with the Executive Committee, Trustees and Mentoring Coordinator, assisting with communications flow and acting as first point for safeguarding. Once role holding, the Secretary will be invited to work towards becoming a Trustee.

It is expected that this role will average up to 4 hours per week, split across several days. Hours may vary with some busier periods. A detailed role description can also be found on The Association of Dress Historians website.
