Non-Executive Director Quantum Care

Full Job Description

Non-Executive Directors

Volunteer

Some roles give you influence. Others give you variety. A few even give you the chance to improve people’s lives. This one will give you all three – and much more besides. As a Non-Executive Director at Quantum Care, you will help build on the performance of our 22 residential homes for older people across Hertfordshire, Essex and Bedfordshire. It’s all about improving our decisions, shaping our strategic direction and delivering results that have a direct impact on the welfare of our 1,500 residents at a time of significant organisational development. Our care model is evolving in response to demographic, financial and regulatory changes and, in addition, we are currently developing 3 new care homes in Hertfordshire to complement our established portfolio of leased and freehold homes.

To contribute effectively, you will need a passion for improving health and social care at a local level and a real interest in meeting the care needs of older people. You are likely to have experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas: property development, ICT, Finance and Learning and Development, together with an understanding and experience of commercial business management, risk management and strategic planning. Previous Board experience is desirable but not essential. Above all, to succeed in this role, you must be able to demonstrate commercial experience and the ability to bring this into a not-for-profit organisation.

We have four vacancies. These are unpaid roles. You are likely to live in or close to one of the counties which we serve.
