Full Job Description
ASUPS Group is a small, acquisitive group providing power conversion units, mostly Frequency Converters, UPS and solar inverters, into various industries such as Telecom, Data Centres, Industrial and Healthcare. We have a strong list of blue-chip clients and have doubled turnover in the last two years.
There are currently two acquisitions in the pipeline, and a strategy from the CEO of not excluding any approach or potential target if it can add value and complementary services into the group profile. The business has been driven forward by the CEO, and, as the group grows, he is increasingly aware of the need for both corporate structure and discipline.
He is also conscious of the fact that this is not where his strengths lie, but the group is not big enough to sustain another full time senior executive. He is therefore seeking to bring on board a non-executive Group Chairman with significant industry experience, on a two day per month basis to act as both sounding board and devil’s advocate.
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar entrepreneurial environment, of having planned and run board meetings and of having implemented good governance and accountability. Experience in fast growth scenarios will be extremely useful, with the challenges and pitfalls that may be confronted, but a broad business knowledge and appreciation of seizing opportunities when presented will be equally valuable.
