Non-remunerated
The Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) is seeking new Lay Non-Executive Directors to join the Board and also Lay Members of our Training Council and Professional Standards Committee which set the standards of training and practice respectively.
The Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) is the professional body for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists in the UK. It is an Accredited Register of the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) and is responsible for regulating the training and practice standards of child and adolescent psychotherapy across the NHS, third and private sectors.
We want to increase and diversify the community of people who contribute to the crucial work of the ACP. We need a range of voices and experience in order to advance standards, promote child psychotherapy and support members.
Lay Non-Executive Directors and Committee Members may bring specific areas of expertise from their professional backgrounds such as business, finance, law, marketing and communications or have experience within the wider health, social care and voluntary sectors that will add to the breadth and depth of knowledge that informs the running the ACP.
The Board meets four times a year and other Commmittees meet six times a year on Fridays. NEDs and Committee Members will need to undertake other limited tasks between meetings.
