Overview
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and participate fully in Board and Committee meetings
- Develop a constructive working relationship with the Chair, CEO and other NEDs, providing support and guidance in areas of the INED’s particular expertise and knowledge
- Work with the Board members to develop and implement the Company’s strategic objectives, delivering a robust and sustainable business plan
- Comply with the PRA’s and FCA’s Principles of Business (PRIN), Code of Conduct and ensure that the company complies with all the necessary regulatory requirements
- Offer an independent perspective on the overall running of the company
- As a member of the Audit & Risk Committee, provide leadership on areas of subject matter expertise
Qualifications required:
- Degree-educated and/or relevant professional qualification
Experience required:
- Clear strategic thinker with a track record of success in previous roles
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to understand, analyse and communicate complex information
- Able to educate colleagues on areas of subject matter expertise
