The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the UK statutory regulator of architects, and is responsible for setting the standards of education, training and competence required to become a UK-registered architect. ARB’s accreditation process involves both a desk-based review of institutional documentation, and a visiting process. The purpose of the accreditation process is to ensure the Board’s academic and practice outcomes are delivered, and the Standards of Providers have been, and continue to be, met.
ARB is seeking to appoint a pool of up to 30 Architect and Lay Visitors, this is a new function for ARB and provides an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the quality of architectural education.
If you are looking to make a difference then we want to hear from you. To be considered you must have; experience of reviewing and analysing information which will be required to attend a visit; experience of communicating your decisions and recommendation through written and oral form and experience of working with diverse team to deliver robust outcomes and decisions. Architects must be registered with ARB and as a lay candidate we want your public interest perspective.
Overview
Time commitment: up to 15 days per year.
Term of Engagement: Four year term, with the possibility of reappointment for a further four years.
Remuneration: £275 per day.
The closing date is midday on Monday 26th June 2023.

We anticipate interviews will take place between 14th July – 2nd August.
